Terminal

I recently overheard a conversation in which a family member was talking about a terminally ill friend of theirs. The conversation consisted the family member commenting on the difficulty of telling people that you were not going to be around the next year, or even the next holiday. In moving across country I have been able to catch a glimpse of the difficulty in making ones own mind understand the concept. Having lived in Kansas all of my life, I am accustomed to spending certain holidays in certain ways. Christmas for example has always been breakfast at Grandma H's and lunch at Grandma G's. Halloween has been finding some unwitting soul to take me trick-or-treating. This year the holiday seasons will be especially difficult because they will be the firsts for my beautiful nephew and I will only witness them through my brothers blog. While his blog is very detailed and I will obtain all of the latest up to date information it will not be that same as being able to give him kisses on his neck as he giggles.
God give me the ears to hear my nephew giggle from 2000 miles away!
