SHOPPING

Tomorrow I get to go shopping. I have not been really shopping in a LONG time. My last pair of new, store bought jeans was probably two years ago. I have one pair and I stole them from my ex-boyfriend. Come to think of it most of my wardrobe comes from ex's. Hmmmmmm at least I never have to doubt that I got something lasting from the relationship.

See you later shopaholics

Virus

Trisha has a sickness that causes her to be physically unable to stop herself from clicking on links to pictures. She has clicked her way to a new computer virus that is wrecking our computer. Her response is, "I can't help it I wanted to see there Valentine pictures."

Is there a prescription for this?

Bipolar weather

Today I got to take to Danes to the grocery store because they are making dinner tonight, a dinner I will not be eating.

Just before we left it began to snow.
Then it stopped snowing and got REALLY sunny and fairly warm.
Then it clouded.
During Spanish class I realized it was dark, I looked outside and there was a blizzard, a full on blizzard, I could not see the coffee shop across the street (and I had my glasses on).
After class I scurried to the car and started to drive through the blizzard to work. Three blocks after starting my drive the blizzard stopped.
By the time I got the rest of the 20 block drive to the mall the sun was back out and it was fairly warm again.

Wait, I thought I moved AWAY from Kansas!

The Sickness and the Danes

So the Danes arrived last night and brought food with them. Pernille has been very excited about the thought of eating "real" food. Apparently our food has too much flavor. So she got out the food and asked me to PLEASE try just a bit of the liver patte with rye bread, sure. Then she said PLEASE just a little mackerel with Mayo on Rye Bread (PS this rye bread NOT like our rye bread).

I don't know if this was planned, maybe she is vying for my spot in the basement, or the family.

Today I am dying, I think I have been poisoned. I have missed work, school, dinner (out with family) and Trisha's last basketball game of her high school career.

Explain again why it is wrong to run foreigners out of the country?

Valentine's Blues

Valentine's Day has never been a big winner for me. I am always alone or broke or broke and alone. This year I have my cat (which is a whole new level of sad). The kicks just keep coming. Yesterday was a beautiful spring like day, I went without a coat or a care in the world.

This morning I woke up to snow. I trudged to school in snow and walked up the long cold alley from my car to the school in snow. I came home to find my sick cousin trudging through the snow to get the mail. She was looking for a CD that she had ordered and instead found a whole bunch of mail for Pernille. Included in the mail for Pernille was a Valentine's Day card from my Grandma Veda to Pernille.

Did I mention that there was no such card for my sick cousin and I? So I called the favorite baby in the family, Shawn, he will be checking his mail and getting back to us as to wether or not he received a card in the mail. On Valentine's Day I was forgotten by my Grandmother.

Now I must part with my cat and trudge through the snow to work where I will spend the rest of the evening servicing Chocolate Covered Cherry flavored coffee to all the happy couples of the world. All the while remembering that my Grandmother forgot about me.

The moral of the story is... no matter how bad your Valentine's was you didn't get forgotten by you Grandmother and you will not go to sleep tonight snuggling with a cat.

Tiny Room

The Danes are arriving tomorrow and I am in the tiny room with Pernille's smelly oil paints so that her and her family can be in the basement. Originally I was supposed to be in Pernille's large bedroom with a full size bed and two closets but she wants it to stay perfect until her parents see it. So I am in the small room with the twin size bed and the cat that takes up most of the room on the twin size bed and the oil painting that I hit with my elbow everytime I move to surrender more room in the twin size bed to my cat.

Rant over

I am way too smart for this!

I just received word that I got 103 out of 96 on my Math test. Now if I could find my way out of under the PILE of books and homework currently on my plate, I would do a little dance, make a little noise, get down tonight!!

Instead I am going to be locking myself in the basement every spare moment so that I can watch the Super Bowl without being worried about my homework.

As if the homework and jobs were not enough (which they are) I have now taken it upon myself to read the classic books that I always pretended to know but never did. First up... Wuthering Heights.

Later book nerds!
